Long-range
Planner
If you are what we call a long-range planner -- in other words, not planning to apply to medical school in
this next application cycle -- then our credential review would typically include:
- Your professional motivation - how sure are you, what have you done to explore the field, what else you might do
- Your academic record, with possible recommendations for additional coursework
- Your extracurricular experiences, in the broadest sense of the word: research, community service, medically related work, employment, general interests, with suggestions for what else you might want to do
- Plans for your future application: timing of the MCAT, researching schools, and deciding when to apply
You have the luxury of time. If you use it well, you'll be very ready and very sure when the time comes. Get in touch with
Premed Advising Services to see if professional advising might work for you.
